Qatar has officially suspended its Visa on Arrival facility for Pakistani passport holders effective immediately. The Pakistani Embassy in Qatar has confirmed the suspension and is strongly urging all citizens to obtain a proper visa before traveling to avoid entry refusal or delays at Doha airport.
The suspension is directly linked to the ongoing regional situation in the Middle East. No official timeline has been provided by either the Qatari authorities or the Pakistani Embassy regarding when the facility will be reinstated.
Previously, Pakistani travelers could arrive at Hamad International Airport and obtain a 30 day visa on arrival by booking their hotel through the Discover Qatar platform. That process is now temporarily unavailable.
If you have upcoming travel to Qatar, contact the Qatar Embassy in Islamabad or Karachi immediately to apply for a visa in advance. Traveling without a pre-arranged visa at this time may result in being turned away at immigration.
